Well, is he?
No, I’ve not been pushing up daisies, although, I’m sure this question crossed the minds of a few of you wondering if my next installment of the Bonner Blog was ever going to be published. I’m happy to report that the lapse was only the temporary casualty of a busy wedding season of which the peak was reached a few days ago. (At one point I counted having photographed 7 weddings over a period of 14 days!) To be honest though, they’ve been a lot of fun and Abi and I have had a great time photographing such a diversity of celebrations.
Enjoy the update!

Yes, folks — Bill and Catherine definitely march to the beat of their own drum. After all, it’s not every couple that decides to walk down the aisle to the Raiders of the Lost Ark theme music! Great choice guys! Here are just a few shots from your beautiful day!

Young Will stealing the show from the rest of the boys.

Some great light at Vermillion.

Put your hands together for Doug & Jaylene who were married on May 3rd in Canmore! You can see Doug’s three big sister’s are keeping an eye on him in the background!
Congratulations guys!

Congratulations to Jamie & Nadine who said “I do” on Monday the 28th. This couple definitely turned a few heads as they brought along “King”, the family great dane for the wedding. He was just about as easy going and as smartly dressed as our bride and groom. Thanks to all of you for being so great to work with!

Well, if ever there were a perfect storm of the wedding variety, this was certainly it! A simple wedding with 18 people, nestled in the rustic warmth of the Post Hotel. A couple who were utterly in love with each other and were quite simply, as beautiful on the inside as they were on the outside. Details which were understated but so carefully thought out and so meaningfully intended.
Ryan and Andrea, what more can I say!? It was a gorgeous wedding! Congratulations.

I suppose a rooftop portrait session on a winter weekday morning in February probably wouldn’t be the first idea that would spring to mind as an ideal location to photograph a group of corporate executives. Then again, the team at Vista Projects Limited aren’t exactly your ordinary group of corporate executives. Up for anything, these guys have been fantastic to work with and I’m really excited about our upcoming sessions!

Congratulations, Gordon and Ernestina! I know you’ll be dying to see the rest of your wedding images when you get back from your honeymoon. In the meantime, here’s a little bit of a sneak preview! Thanks for being so much fun to photograph, and of course for braving a little bit of shin high snow on the frozen ’shores’ of Lake Louise! I hope you managed to find a lint roller before joining your cocktail reception!

Well, a busy close to the year with three weddings in four days and what a great way to work off the second helpings of turkey and Christmas pudding.
Matthew and Jennifer certainly can’t be accused of taking life too seriously. This easy-going couple traveled all the way from Saskatchewan (we won’t hold that against you guys) to get married at the Banff Springs Hotel!

Everything was going along just fine and then a fight broke out among the bridal party. The last police report indicated that it was ‘allegedly’ Ms. Scarlett, with the candlestick, in the Riverview Lounge!

Put your hands together for Levi & Shabnam who tied the knot on December 29th in a beautiful Persian-Christian ceremony! This celebration had it all: exploding confetti eggs, touching live music, a bus load of guests (quite literally), not to mention great light and a gorgeous couple!

Congratulations to David & Susie who were married on the 27th of December. With the temperature dipping sharply below the freezing mark, a strapless wedding dress didn’t offer much protection from the frosty mountain air. Susie you were a trooper and David, you were chivalrous beyond question!
