Courtney & Parker had a little cooperation from Mother Nature on Feb. 28th as the sun shone all afternoon for their wedding here in Banff at the  Juniper Hotel.

David & Elodie take flight

I had a fantastic day joining David & Elodie for a thrilling helicopter ride to their spectacular mountain-top wedding ceremony.

Stacie & Patrick Go Golfing (& tie the knot too!)

Toni & I had a blast working with Stacie & Patrick on Sept. 20th. What a crazy, beautiful bride & a groom that never stopped smiling.

Breia & Ewan

A little rain & some forgotten jewelery didn’t deter Breia & Ewan from having a wonderful time on their wedding day in Banff on Oct. 4th.

A windy but sunny day provided nice conditions for Alicia & John’s wedding on September 27th here in Banff.

Uh, what happened to August ???

While the leaves are now turning and the days are suddenly very short, we are still reliving August and early September as we complete production on some recent weddings while we say goodbye to Banff’s brief summer.

Rachiel & Nick

A little rain(!) didn’t stop this wonderful, fun couple from having a great time and having their ceremony outdoors no matter what! Rachiel & Nick seemed to revel in some very soggy conditions and ended up with some of the most unique portraits we’ve made this year.

Melissa & Mitch

A really easy going couple, Mitch & Melissa were rewarded with some beautiful light & dramatic skies for their wedding on August 23rd at the rustic Buffalo Mountain Lodge here in Banff.

By the end of the first week of September we wondered where our summer went.

A few days after the snow and we were back to beautiful weather for Anastasia & Kim’s wedding on Sept. 6th. This couple and their families were so great to work with. (a photogenic bunch!)

“Expect the unexpected”

The sub-title above is no exaggeration. When the Groom, the Best Man and the M.C. are all professional comedians, you never know what might happen: Such as…….a full on Ninja attack !!!

Yes, a Ninja. This uninvited guest came storming into the reception brandishing a sword but was easily subdued by the Brave Roman. Much to the relief of the Princess Janet who seemed to thoroughly enjoy having her “Knight” save her.

8 – 8 – 8….Tami & Sandy’s Date

Two of our great friends tied the knot on this auspicious date and we didn’t mind missing the Olympic opening ceremonies for this wonderful event.

The Four Elements was the theme of their wedding and all those elements made their presence felt before the night was over. A little Air in the form of high winds sent us scrambling from one picnic site to another. A little Water in the form of a spectacular thunderstorm entertained and did not stop the celebration. A Fire kept us warm and the Earth between their toes as they took off their shoes for a portrait in the lake.

A day my assistant Abi & I will not soon forget. Kudos to Abi whose great work you can view in the wonderful candid images below.

Didi & Steve @ Emerald Lake

Emerald Lake, B.C. is always one of favourite places in the area, if not the world, to shoot a wedding.

The spectacular & peacful setting can’t be matched anywhere. The famous lodge is accessible yet still gives that “getting away from it all” experience.

Didi & Steve were so great to work with. I couldn’t a imagine a much more easy shoot. A one of a kind setting, a couple so obviously in love. All Toni and I had to do was push the shutter ;-}

August 15th saw one of the warmest days we’ve had this year for Bianca & Will’s nuptials. Part of our wedding party was from Florida so it probably seemed cold to them ;-}

Many tears of joy were shed during a beautiful outdoor ceremony high atop the Hoo Doos Viewpoint on Tunnel Mtn.
